Canon AE-1 35mm SLR [Known Issues]

Categories: , ,

Quite possibly the most iconic film camera out there, the Canon AE-1 is a 35 mm single-lens reflex camera for use with interchangeable lenses. It was manufactured by Canon in Japan from April 1976 to 1984. It uses an electronically controlled, electromagnet horizontal cloth focal plane shutter, with a speed range of 2 to 1/1000 second plus Bulb and flash X-sync of 1/60 second.

Key features: Shutter-priority auto exposure, full manual control, exceptionally bright viewfinder.
Compatibility: Canon FD lenses, A-Series Auto Winder.
Batteries:  A544/4LR44 6V cell
Condition: Known issues: Needs light seal replacement- many light leaks (though does produce usable and unique creative effects). Additionally, the frame counter increments at 1.5x speed. This does not affect the number of images you get, just the counter. Price adjusted accordingly.
Included: Batteries, strap.
